The Tyco MCP230 514.001.110 is a conventional manual callpoint, designed for outdoor use. The Tyco MCP230 gives an alarm when the glass element is broken. This is also indicated by a LED indicator. The glass element has a protective plastic coating to prevent operator injury.
The MCP230 features an anti-tamper function. If the lid of the MCP230 is removed without isolation from the panel, an alarm will sound. A special tool is required to release the lid, as required by EN54-11.
The Tyco MCP230 break glass can easily be replaced by a resettable break glass. With the new design it only takes a change of operating element. The solution is simple and low cost and is much easier than changing the product or adding springs and additional parts.
